How to make a Christingle

We encourage everyone to make their own Christingle for the special Christmas Eve service. It is not difficult, and this lovely video will show you how to do it. Young children will need help with cutting the hole for the candle, because we don't want any accidents!

Use your creative skills when making one. Many people also include silver foil between the candle and the orange.

Then bring them along with you to the
Christmas Eve service at 5.30pm, during which we will light them for the singing of one Carol. At this point we turn the lights off for a couple of minutes and the church then looks beautiful with a multitude of twinkling candlelights, helping us to remember that Jesus is The Light of the World.
