Services
Fellowship at Christ Church Walshaw Bury

Before our services starts on a Sunday morning - from 10.15am until 10.45am - our church family gathers together to catch up and share in tea and coffee.

All our services are informal and relaxed. We are very much a church family made up of people of all ages.

We enjoy singing hymns and praise songs as part of our worship.

While things change from time to time, generally speaking our service arrangements are as follows (please see our notices for any variations).

The first Sunday of the month we have a Morning Worship service. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month we have a busy Children's Church for children up to Year 6 which meets while we also have a service of Holy Communion taking place in the main church space. There are also lots of toys and activities for our youngest members of the church in church which makes it possible for parents / carers to stay in the service while at the same time keeping an eye on their 'tots' while they play. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month we sometimes include baptisms. All of these services start at 11am.

There is a very active 'lay ministry' at Christ Church' and this includes lay members leading services and sharing reflections / preaching / teaching.

Prayer

Prayer plays an important part in the life of our church family at Christ Church Walshaw.

Besides praying together on a Sunday we gather together once a month to pray for our church, community, nation and the world. This is usually on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm.

We also pray together for urgent and personal situations coming out of prayer requests. We do this through our email 'prayer chain'. If you have a prayer request you are able to share it with us ... giving as much or as little information as you wish ... by sending an email to Gordon at ccwalshawprayerchain@gmail.com

People also pray together when they meet in their small groups.
