Due to the coronavirus situation all acts of public worship are suspended. This means there are no services in church at the moment. The church building is also closed for private prayer.
Before our services starts on a Sunday morning - from 10.30am - our church family starts to gather together to catch up and share in tea and coffee.
All our services are informal and relaxed. We are very much a church family made up of people of all ages.
We enjoy singing hymns and praise songs as part of our worship.
While things change from time to time, generally speaking our service arrangements are as follows (please see our notices for any variations).
The first Sunday of the month we have a Morning Worship service. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month we have a busy Children's Church for children up to Year 6 which meets while we also have a service of Holy Communion taking place in the main church space. On the 3rd Sundays of the month when we have very engaging all age, family friendly services. There are also lots of toys and activities for our youngest members of the church in church which makes it possible for parents / carers to stay in the service while at the same time keeping an eye on their 'tots' while they play. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month we share in a Family Holy Communion Service. All of these services start at 11am.
During spring and summer one evening a month we share in a more contemplative service of Evening Prayer from Common Worship starting at 6.30pm
There is a very active 'lay ministry' at Christ Church' and this includes lay members leading services and sharing reflections / preaching / teaching.
